We are a non-profit think-tank entity devoted to creating win-win policy solutions to certain complex issues facing the United States. We are focused initially on clean, renewable energy, climate change and infrastructure resiliency concerns. Our goal is to forge innovative policy strategies - including those that utilize public-private partnerships and social impact investment - that will provide significant benefits across the entire socio-economic spectrum.
National NREL Tools Training Program
In May of 2023, as part of CSPI's teaming relationship with Arizona State University’s Laboratory for Energy And Power Solutions (LEAPS), and as a pilot project working in conjunction with the Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), we launched the Locally-Sourced Solar Energy and Microgrids NREL Modeling Tools Training Program, a nationwide initiative designed to provide local leaders with hands-on proficiency training for solar energy and energy resilience modeling. Graduates (who now join our Solar and Microgrids Resiliency Corps) completing this training curriculum are certified as proficient to conduct visioning and feasibility analysis for solar and microgrid projects in their communities. Our goal: 1,000 graduates in 12 months.
Clean Growth Incubator™
The Clean Growth Incubator is a multi-disciplinary platform designed to help cities, counties, and impacted communities with the buildout of "shovel-ready" renewable energy projects. The Incubator combines a Clean Growth template platform with ongoing webinar training sessions, providing local and county governments with the necessary tools to evaluate, plan for, and implement renewable energy solutions.
